MEKAMATON 27XX (Early Access v0.01)

Welcome to the Year 27XX

Centuries in the future — the year 27XX — the world has come under the oppressive rule of the HEX Coalition. Humanity's last hope is the Mekamatons, the elite fighting robots of the Meka Resistance.

Mekamaton 27XX is a tabletop roleplaying game that seeks to capture the action-packed fun of classic side-scrolling platformer video games about fighting robots. You know the ones. This game uses the Charge SRD variant of the popular Forged in the Dark system — facilitating the dangerous action and forward momentum that fighting robots thrive on.

Charge up your arm cannon and jump-dash into the fun with a core rulebook that includes —

• The basic rules to play, based on the Charge SRD, a streamlined variant of the Forged in the Dark system.
• Rules for building your own Mekamaton heroes, as well as the Bosses, Levels, and basic robot Enemies of the evil HEX Coalition.
• An overview of the various factions at play in the year 27XX — those loyal to the evil HEX Coalition, as well as those who give their support to the Meka Resistance.
• A sample selection of Mekamaton heroes that players can use, and an array of six evil HEXamaton Bosses and Levels to challenge.

This is an Early Access work-in-progress. While the text of the game is essentially complete, and ready to play, you can expect the following updates in the future —

• Full layout and graphics. As this is the first draft, it's just downloaded from what I made in Google Docs.  I intend to do full layout with more graphics/visual aids.
• Artwork. I'll be illustrating more artwork for them game, myself, as well as commissioning some pixel-art versions of notable characters and bosses.
• Editing. Expect spelling and grammatical errors. I'll pay for an editor at some point in the future, I swear.
