Launch - Core Rules v101

I've been quiet for a while, but something big has been in development — the first compiled draft of the Core Rules, clocking in at over 200 pages (formatted for 6"x9" digest-sized printing).

No longer will you have to juggle so many separate documents to get the disparate parts of BEHEMOTH, as the bulk of the Core Rules have officially be compiled into a single document. I'm officially moving us out of the "preview" period, and calling this Launch of the early access version of the game.

Sure, it's still in-development, and there are numerous gaps in content and some of the subsystems, throughout the Core Rules. But this is still a big milestone in Behemoth's development. At this stage, the core rules should be sufficient to play even without former knowledge of the system as implemented in games like Spire and Heart. This is the beginnings of a standalone product.

And you'll find a lot of content in there that wasn't completed before. You just have to be patient with the numerous sections that have placeholder text, or incomplete information. Also, while I've got a few sketches I've done in there, the book is largely devoid of art. That will change someday.

Also, if you're interested on using the browser-based Role app for online play, I've made sheet templates for your characters, Consortium, Outrider Ark, and the Subsectors you visit.
